Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

Question:

My right arm is stronger than my left arm (makes sense seeing as I'm right-handed). When doing things such as bicep curls, single arm cable rows, single arm lat pulls, and dumbbell rows, I could easily lift more with my right arms. I don't, though. I don't want my right arm gaining faster than my left arm. I'm correct in that thinking, right?

I'm right handed and my left arm is stronger.

No. Let's think about this a minute. You might be showing your age a bit. I have a theory about this:

Long ago, before the interwebs, it probably made a lot of sense that right handed dudes would whack it with their right hand. Today, however, that right hand is more likely working the mouse whilst the left hand & arm is getting the real workout. That clearly is the reason for ChiefsOne's situation.

So, I added 10 lbs to my last set on the bench press today. Did an extra interval on my cardio intervals, and set a new PR on the 500m row of 1:54.5. Not too bad of a day at the gym!

yes - I can see that - I only do 35# w/ two hands as to get a little core action.

I am very aware of balance and distribution. It's worked well - perhaps I jump back from the 12x over to 6x - until I build up.

Not to bash you luv but I hear this from coworkers all day because I don't eat at work. The continuous comments, "How do you not get light headed not eating all day!?" Or "That isn't healthy is it?"

I workout and am in shape....they are all fat/overweight and are asking me if it's healthy. I find the irony in that to be extremely noticeable but not sure why they don't see it.
