Best Pizza in KC?

I will be traveling to KC to visit my sister and am wondering where the best pizza is in downtown KC. I will be there for a week and plan on going to Strouds, Arthur Bryants, Gates, Mannys and Oklahoma Joes. I want to get pizza/italian one of these days I am there. Any suggestions?

That sounds really good!

I don't like weird food on my pizza. Keep it simple. I downloaded a coupon from Minsky's that I plan to use tonight. 25% off on a large pie for Labor Day. Gotta love organized labor!

That looks damn good.

I'd go with the Bianca base and add a couple more cheeses and a couple of toppings. If I'm reading it right that's $10.50. Good price for what looks like a hell of a pizza.

A pizza without tomato sauce is not a pizza.

Tomato sauce is the Pizza Hut syndrome. People are conditioned to think that's how pizza is made. It's the yellow cheese of Taco Bell.

Since Pizza Hut has been hugely successful other pizza joints do the same thing. I find the artisanal pizza places don't follow that formula (but offer tomato sauce it if you want). Give me a Mediterranean or white pizza at a good pizza joint every time.

Well, all I can say is, St. Louis calls Imo's "Pizza." The rest of the world would call it a big round saltine cracker with tomato paste and snot all over it.

To each his own, I suppose.

I'm getting ready to call Minsky's up and order my weekend special. Yeah baby.

I told my gf that I'm tired of these tasteless cheeses. She bought me some Limburger from Werner's in Mission, KS. It's in the fridge. They say it's best with a hardy rye or pumpernickel. Wish me luck.
