She just came back and said "It's official...... were expecting MORE snow today and AGAIN tomorrow... !"..

Dude, you want to go out. You want to see the world. You want to be able to live your life. You need to 'take care of this,' and the sooner the better. Get a shovel, and start digging at 'er. Does it suck not having better technology? Yeah, but that costs a lot, and there aren't many people willing to voluntarily do it for free. It's up to you. It's going to be painful, but you need to get rid of it. When you're done, throw it out in the street and let a snowplow take it away. You just have to let a little inconvenience now pave the way for a convenient later.
