Hey smart guys

So DirecTV has blacked out the big four Networks on our service... I'm in a loft apartment about 30-50 feet from the nearest window and surrounded by brick. Should I bother getting a digital antenna and if so, anyone know what works the best?

switch to cable, duh!!!!

you should be able to buy an external antenna. their range is pretty awful in the high def age. you may only be able to pick up 1 or 2 of the stations. start small, save your receipts. if the low end works, great. if not, return, buy the next step up. rinse, rather, repeat. good luck.

buy the cheapest components. if they work, then great.
if they don't, return items, buy the next expensive make or model.
the idea here is really how strong of a signal his stations are emitting. if there is a lot of interfence (apt complex i believe?) certain stations may come in stronger than others.
i may get some poop for this comment, buuuuuut: when teh analog signal went away, no one ever let the general public know that the hd signal, while better as a whole, is not near as strong as the old analog was. (this is just what i've seen in the field, please no math geeks prove me wrong, i just may snap )

sorry if i was being vague.
