Congrats to Kendrell Bell...

He closed the season strong to finish in a tie with Benny Sapp for 9th on the team in tackles.

They must always have run away from him. Awesome pickup. Way better than Trotter.

Speaking of Benny Sapp, I'm more and more impressed with him. I don't know if he's starter material but he sure looks good.

I think he had a sack and two other tackles for loss yesterday. Nice game.

So would you rather have Trotter in the Middle, or Mitchell?

I'm glad we gave Mitchell a chance.

I wish we still had Edwards on the outside.

Bell couldn't match Sapp's sack total, though.

In another interesting note, check out Tynes' stats. What's the deal with the 40 to 49 range?

Under 20 yards - 1 of 1
20 to 29 yards - 8 of 8
30 to 39 yards - 12 of 13
40 to 49 yards - 4 of 8
50 yards or more - 2 of 3

The following offensive guys made tackles this year (excluding guys who play special teams):

Black, Dunn, Green, Parker, Waters, Welbourn - 1 each

Gonzalez, L. Johnson, Kennison, Shields - 2 each

Dante Hall - 3

Only Roaf, Wiegman, Holmes, and Richardson didn't record a tackle among our primary offensive players.

I have no idea why I'm posting this.

A classic example of why are run D was good, teams were passing on us so much a corner was a leading tackler.

I believe two of those 4 misses were in the Buffalo game.

Not really. Our top 2 tacklers were LB's, followed by the two safeties.

This is interesting in itself, because on most bad defenses, a safety leads the team in tackles. The fact that two LB's are 1-2 makes me think that we were making most of our tackles before the RB got to the secondary.
