All-Star Break Changes For The Royals...

Ok barring any trades Moore makes here are the changes I would make after the All-Star Break...

Fire the hitting coach, Trade Brown, Sweeney and Grudz (hate to see him go) for anyone that you can get that can upgrade you at any position, preferably SS or 2nd base (offensively speaking)

1. Gordon goes to Omaha for a few weeks. German goes to 3rd.
2. Buck is my #1 catcher
3. Gathwright is my CF\LF for the rest of the year
4. Gload and Sanders will rotate as DH provided they are healthy
5. Grienke, Gobble and Soria are my go-to guys in the Pen, Dotel is the closer
6. Gathwright moved to leadoff spot with DD batting 2nd or 6th

Thing about 2nd and SS, do you really need a stud offense player in those positions? I like Pena at SS, granted he cant hit for average but I like the potential of him to be a Eckstein type.

orly? He has a better average than most the guys on the team. He can't hit for power though.

We've fired several hitting coaches over the past couple years. It won't do any good because the offense lacks talent and experience.

Our remaining excitement this season is to see who Moore can trade for another team's minor league pitching prospects. And maybe Hochevar will receive a September call up.

I would Trade Sweeny and keep Grudz, I don't think Brown would get any interest unless a team needed a defensive outfielder...

1.Gordon would definitely get sent down...
2.Buck would be getting play at DH or catcher everyday
3.IF Gathwright can keep up his offense he would be put at leadoff and have DD right behind him..
4. Grienke would be went down to find his groove, if not found I would trade him... He was drafted to be a starter not a middle relief pitcher, get another pitcher for him and wish him the best elsewhere in the NL..
5. Would tell Bell to stick to a Lineup, and then can his ass at the end of the year...

Lineup would look like:

1. Gathright.........LF
2. Baby Jesus.......CF
3. Tehean............RF
4. Shealy.............1st
5. Buck................C/DH
6. Grudz...............2nd
7. German.............3rd/DH
8. Butler...............DH/LF
9. Pena................SS

I hope that's sarcasm.

A team would do just as well to shoot their current LF in the leg with a shotgun as to trade for Emil Brown for defense.

I was about to type the same thing.

He's an abortion in the outfield.

At first I was against Gordon going back to Omaha... My belief, was he was too good for AAA pitching and just needed to stay up here and learn to hit the big boy's... Now; I'm to the point where he needs to go back down for about 1 month and get some confidence back...

Last year when our Captain Sweeneeeeeeeee was hurt most of the year, everyone wanted him gone... Well; no one wants an injured player on thei team... Now that he's finally hitting this year and is injury free --- I think I would still try and unload him... Granted he's better this year with his yoga, but this team is going no where even with him him for 2 more years...

Emil Brown ---- I'd try and see what I couold get for him... We've got a good number of outfielders and losing Brown I don't think would matter... I'd like to see Butler back up soon, as I have nooooooooo clue why he spent just afew weeks up here...

Cathwright ---- He looks alot better this time up, and I think he should stay for the remainder of the year... He's got incredible speed, and he's going to be a big part of the success of this team in year's to come... He even looks like he put some muscle on that skinny frame of his... If he can learn to hit on a constent basis --- he's going to be another Willie Wilson on the field...

Gruz ---- We HAVE to keep him... As far as I'm concerned, he's the "unspoken" learder of this team...

My hardest decision is of Gordon... I know up above I said maybe they need to send him back down... But; if I remember right someone told me that Butler is hitting a big .215 after being sent back down... We can't destroy the confidence of another big time up and coming player... My final decision is maybe they should just hang on to him and let him ride it out... Hey; after all --- George Brett was no shining jewel his rookie season either...
