Watching Geno gifs again has me excited for the draft...
Glad we have a front office/coaching staff that understands how important the QB is. |

I think he'll be the top pick. Out of all the QBs, he's the cleanest.
However, why when someone cites the bowl game do Geno lovers get all bent out of shape?

How about some highlights from the Pinstripe Bowl?

You mean the Syracuse ground game? Because that's about the only highlights you are going to find in that one.
Though, Geno did go for 16/24, 200 yards, 2 TD's and 0 Ints, with another TD called back for what was deemed holding. Though, if you want to make a comparison of the two highly ranked QB's in that one, rather than just one, I'd be happy to do that. |

I recognize that it was not a good game by his standards, and were that the only game I saw, I might have the same opinion as those people. However, I do believe the guys that are the most critical are using that as a measuring stick, because that is the only game they watched. Those of us that have watched multiple games see all the tools he brings to the table, and also see that with good coaching, the mechanical issue that affected his performance can be corrected, and weather conditions will not have nearly the effect on his game that it had in that Bowl game. We also recognize that even the strongest arms, like Cutler's, Stafford's and Rodgers are still affected by weather. And the one other thing that we recognize is that even the best QBs struggle against defenses that can provide cnsistent pressure, and Geno has faced consistent pressure in every game because his O-Line is one of the worst in college football. The combination of weather and pressure, and the lack of a running game to alleviate some of that pressure, all played a part in that game.

Because it was ONE game. One meaningless game in the snow in which he didn't really play that badly. And it was the only game most Chiefs fans have seen Geno play & they let that one game make their decision for them instead of looking at his whole career.

Big Andy and Dorsey are not crazy. They know for sure that a team without a great QB will not go far. Unless Geno is bad at Indy and stupid in the interview and film sessions the pick will be him.

All pre draft QB's have flaws, its the responsibility of the FO to weed thru those and decide which one fits our new system. I would really like to see Geno pull away as the #1 QB thru the process of the next couple of months. I just want us to pick a QB at #1 and roll with them
Biggest criticism of Geno is mental toughness, i.e. ability to win coming from behind. But how much of that is on the WV coaching staff? A lot of questions about the QB's will be answered in the next couple of months. |

Of course some of that falls on Geno, at times he pressed and tried to do too much. How frustrating is it to drive for a TD and then watch your defense give up a 5 play 3 min. drive for a score? At this time in the process, IMO, Geno has less concerns than Wilson.

That is my biggest unanswered question about him. If I knew for sure he had 75% of Russel Wilson's mental toughness, I'd be firmly among the rest of the resident screaming Geno groupies of the CP. That's why I'm reserving my judgement until after the combine.

Or is this the post draft, Carroll actually letting there be a QB competition in Seattle hindsight type of thing? |
