Would you trade a top five '09 pick for Brady Quinn?

Given the shakey nature of the up coming QB class, would you consider unloading a top 5 pick for him?

You should read CD's description of the game in the other thread it summed it up well.....and we lost to Matt ****in Cassell.

We played New England when they were missing the best player in the league. We didn't play against the 18-1 Pats, we played against a team that is likely to get 7 or 8 games with Cassel starting.

No. Chase Daniel will be in the draft next year. We could take the Chiefs and turn them into a spread offense!

(Actually, I think Chase likes to pass a little too much to fit in Herm's offense).

Of course the Pats looked bad. They almost got beat by us. Nobody is going to give KC any credit for maybe, just maybe, being the cause of why the Pats looked bad. The Pats HAD to look bad because of themselves, it was NOTHING that our D could have caused.

I give Mr. CD his credit here but this sums up the game very well

Ah, the art of taking a true statement and extrapolating it into something that it isn't. Yes we fought NE valiantly. That doesn't translate into a team that ANYONE needs to worry about. We didn't show the ability to move the ball at all. NE played badly. They had an unforced turnover. They had to play with their backup QB most of the game. We had a once in a game play to get the ball down that close. Hanging close with NE by uglying up the game doesn't translate into other teams giving us respect.

Exactly. We nearly won at Indy last year, it didn't mean that team was any good.

Somehow we have to find a way to get a franchise QB. We'll have to take some risks to make that happen.

I'm not advocating getting Quinn no matter what. He might not be the best guy to take a risk on. I really don't know much about him, hence the reason for this thread.
What really suck about this is we probably could have made a deal two years ago to move up one spot or two and got Quinn that would have been a whole lot less expensive than what the Browns had to give up to move up from round two.

I actually liked the way our D they showed some signs of greatness but our offense was $@$%ing horrid at best.

Other than I don't think the Chiefs ever had any intention of drafting Quinn, I think if he had made it to them they'd have traded out.

I agree with that. That said, I think it would be foolish to trade a top 5 for him next year.

Our D has come a long way. I wished Herm was as aggressive on O and he is on D.

Right. No matter who it may be, you gotta figure we'll need to get a franchise QB in the next year or 2 max. The Chiefs will need to take the risk. I pray God provides wisdom to whomever is making the choice.
