Fantasy Football Choices
Looking for a good FFL on the internet, preferably free. We did Yahoo's last year...It was OK, but it did not have that many cool options to play around with.
I have heard ESPN's is pretty cool... And don't say it's too early, because preseason starts in 2 months!! So? |

ESPN was a lot better about 5 years ago, when it wasn't free.
The free game got too 'flashy' and it looked a lot like yahoo's. ESPN used to have the best setup, by far. ****ers. |

sandbox used to rock, but it is a pay site now, but if you are going to pay to play fantasy football, I would suggest this one

[QUOTE=DMAC]And don't say it's too early, because preseason starts in 2 months!!QUOTE]
I have a guy I work with in the office that no lie, the day after the Superbowl he starts "scouting" the draft class and all of the current players. He keeps this stuff up all off season. The other day he had his "top secret" binder out listing his RB order. This guy is intense. The funniest part is the clown finished fourth out of our six guy league last year, and that included all of his analysis on players. When you point this out to him he becomes all pissed off telling us how much luck was involved with the other guys beating him. I always tell him if it is luck, then loose the doosier and be lucky like the rest of us. For full disclosure I finished behind him last year, but didn't spend an ounce of time researching players. |

If you use ESPN, you have to get the LiveDraft thing set up right. I didn't and it wouldn't let me pick, or even go to the draft browser. I had to rejoin another league, which is a pain in the ass itself.

I haven't participated in a free setup in a while. I've heard that some free services allow a good deal of league customization, but the leagues I'm in have some crazy rules and we typically have to pay for a service that allows for that and other special league set ups that we have.
www.fantasyfootballseach.com and www.fflbookmarks.com are two good services that point you to a lot of "free" stuff.

NFL.coms is always OK. But OK is about all you get without paying. Rotowire used to have a good free league but its pay right now.

It's not free, but for about $130 dollars you can start a league on CBS Sportsline. As far as the features go, it's probably one of the best out there and nobody in the league minds giving up part of the pot for a nice quality site like that.

Just be sure you get the #1 pick and pick up LJ. He's gonna ring up so much points next year that you can have a shitty all-around cast and still probably get to the FF super bowl

We did fanball last year and it was excellent. It cost $60 but it was well worth it since we had 12 teams and $100 each on the line. We originally started the seasoon with Fox Sports and it was the worst unorganized piece of shit site ever. I was part of another league at Fox Sports and we had problems the entire season including the playoffs. If you don't mind paying the cash fanball.com is the best site I've used.

My main league uses cbssportsline which is phenomenal in features but slow, you'd think for $150/league they would be able to provide enough resources to keep things running fast.
It's nice because I use it for reasearch in all of the other various leagues I'm in too. |
