The duel isn't always the same? I never paid much attention to the opening duel, and I thought it didn't change from one episode to the next. I like Gunsmoke, especially now that I'm older and understand more of what's going on. Even as a kid, though, it was fun to watch with the rest of the family. |

I haven't seen an episode in years, but it's one of the absolute first shows I can remember watching as a child (the other being Captain Kangaroo).
However, it sounds like what you really need to watch is the scene from Unforgiven where Gene Hackman talks about the pros and cons of accuracy versus speed. |

I was never a fan of Gunsmoke.
Bonanza was better.

If they ever do change the gunfight, they ought to have Henrietta Hippo from The New Zoo Revue be the bad guy. I bet she wouldn't even get to draw before Marshall Dillon emptied his revolver. I'd like to see her dance, then. http://www.newzoorevue.com/who.html Last edited by DanT; 08-28-2005 at 06:20 PM.. |
