Dispelling the myth that we have to cut Cyrus Gray or Devon Wylie

That is nonsense. Garbage. Hippy bullshit. LIES.

We don't need to cut either player. And we won't. In fact, we can keep both those guys, everybody's favorite midget boyfriend ****ster McSuckstick, AND a FB that people supposedly think we need.

QBs- 3
RBs- 4
FBs- 1
WRs- 6
TEs- 3
OTs- 4
OGs- 3
C- 1
NT- 3
DE- 4
OLB- 4
ILB- 4
CB- 5
S- 4
K- 1
P- 1
LS- 1
________
52 roster spots filled

And that leaves one extra roster spot available for someone else. Probably a versatile swing DL like Amon Gordon, or maybe we keep Darryl Harris around as backup G/C so Lilja doesn't have to pull double duty.

Hell, imagine if Romeo says we don't need a FB and uses Steve Maneri as the H-back type blocking guy? You can keep Gordon AND include a shitty DB like Jacques Reeves, or one of the WRs that will get aborted like Jamar Newsome or Josh Bellamy.

The point is there are tons of available places to siphon off spots to make room for Gray and Wylie. What was it Herm said? You keep the best players on your roster, even if it means you wind up with 10 RBs. Here we're only keeping 4. Maybe 5.

QB
Matt Cassel
Brady Quinn
Ricky Stanzi

RB
Jamaal Charles
Peyton Hillis
Cyrus Gray

Since the Chiefs refused to answer the questions this offseason, they can't afford to cut Toribio or Powe. They have to keep both of them.
I really love our talent at NT though. Its just all potential at this point tho. Need to see them consistently do it.

This would seem to make the most sense unless they think he's worse compared to the other option as the 53rd guy. I would find that hard to believe...but it might come down to a special teams decision.

We sign Wiegmann late for OC depth. Said early this summer that he loves Romeo, last year taught him he doesn't need camp, and if KC needs him he will be ready.

I think we keep 1 or 2 FB simply because Daboll has had 2 FB on the roster for each of his previous stops at Miami and Cleveland. They must be part of his offense so I think predictions that we go without a FB are a bit naive.

the FBs he kept on his other teams were more like H-Backs

Lawrence Vickers and Charles Clay can also be great receiving threats as well as the occasional block

he doesnt necessarily need to keep a traditional blocking FB

it's going to be an interesting numbers game roster wise. Also who makes it in some of the last spots.

Powe, Pits the big samoan, and Gordon for the last couple spots on the DL is interesting.

So is OL where i think being second string C shows that they really like Patterson. Cam Holland has upside but they aren't giving him many snaps which could be on purpose because they want him on the taxi squad. I don't see Mims making it unless he plays LT as well as he does RT. Stephenson looked better than i thought he would. I don't really think all that much of Bruggeman i thought Patterson played better.

Good to see Sheffield making some plays in the pass rush game. Miller would be a tough cut if he regains last years PS form. But 8 at LB is about right. Probably keep a 10th DB with how often multi WR sets are used. Fanor looks pretty good for a rookie FA. Thorpe playing CB was suprising to me I thought he was a S. Might just be trying to make him more versital i guess. Bellamy played both cb and WR so they could be thinking of saving a spot there but i don't see him as being on the game day 45 either way.

Maneri looked great catching the ball and blocking. Go fist yourself Jake O'Donnell.

Coaching and being preparred was great to see. Romeo has them ready and Daboll deserves props. Pleasant as well. DL as a group played very well no matter 1st, 2nd, or 3rd string.

Been saying for 3 years now that Studebaker is jag.

Cutting him is about as painful as a scab falling off.

It's nice discussing which good players will be cut, instead of which pieces of shit will be kept. It's a good sign of getting depth at certain positions.
