Ventura looks to be throwing a lot of two-seam fastballs to me, which is why the velocity is down. Also throwing a lot of changeups, and I think he's still toying with the cutter.

Haven't seen many straight four-seamers, which is where his velocity goes 97-98-99.

Command of his fastball is more important than his raw velocity. But Rick is dug in on him needing to throw max effort, max velocity all the time to get results.
