Put behind that, an average at best oline, with a average to slightly over average qb, ad Voila! Crap salad.

Let's say the talent on offense is average. The performance has been well below that in the passing game.

Couldn't possibly have anything to do with the quarterback, though. It must be everyone else on the field. All colluding together. And the coaches are in on it, too.

FACT: Give Alex Smith a great running back, a couple of good receivers, a great tight end, great offensive line, elite defense, and good special teams unit, good coaching, and a good game plan, and he's an extremely effective quarterback.

Forget it with that guy, all QB's have to be a superhuman capable of overcoming any and all problems singlehandedly, if they're not a top 5 player at the position... they're not worth having.

Now, if we had the rookie who shall go unnamed, he'd breeze us right through the playoffs and into the big game, because, you know... rookies can do that and not waste this great start.

Oh yes, ALL of that shit has been said in one way or another 10,000 times here... so does Axl get atleast some benefit of the doubt from you because of the receivers, tight ends, line, new team/scheme or not? Because all i ever see is those factors being swept completely under the rug.
