Davante Adams or Donte Moncrief?
Two high quality WRs that "could" possibly sneak into our range with our 2nd pick (especially if we can find a way to maneuver up a bit somehow into late 2nd/early 3rd round with our 2nd pick). Assuming we go OG with our first pick...what are your thoughts between these two WRs?
Davonte Adams and Donte Moncrief...both big bodied WRs with 39.5 inch verticals who can grab the ball in traffic. Davonte Adams is a drop slower (4.56) but with INSANE production 130 catches 1700 yds and 20 TDs just turned 21 yrs old 6'2" 215 lbs big, physical with great hands. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvGeiqmqWE0 Donte Moncrief is 6'3" 225 lbs runs a 4.4 and had solid production (938 yds 6TDs) big bodied WR with speed and skill...big WR enough speed to keep a defense honest...very good hands. Still only 20 yrs old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2KTeJEIs-c |

Yeah, Moncrief would be my choice. Adams seems like more of a system guy to me.

I like Adams a lot more, but he is not going to be available for our third. If you watch Moncrief he never extends his hands to catch the ball, he always lets it come into his body. Might be able to fix that, might not.

I like Moncrief's size+speed ratio but he doesn't consistently use his size to his advantage and plays too much like a pure speed WR for my taste. Also body catches all of the time.
If you watch Adams play, he has good game speed and tremendous hops to go along with really strong hands. He catches the ball away from his body on a much more consistent basis than Moncrief does and, IMO, has a much higher floor. |

agreed...both have talent. Wouldnt mind seeing a WR like Beckham or Cooks in 1st but if we go OG in 1st could grab a OG AND one of these guys...even better!
