Anyways, if anyone likes Tennis games Top Spin 3 comes out on the 24th i believe. I will be getting one for free courtesy of 2k sports. yay. I just dont knwo what version to get yet. I am going to wait to see if the ps3 or the 360 version is better.
Can I try it when you are done? JK

Don't think I will be willing to drop $60 on a tennis game. That one really should be a lower price. I think all the sports games should be $30 or less.

This is true. Especially tennis and hockey games. And I rented Hot Shots Golf because I thought it might be entertaining. It is, if you can handle the uber-queer Japanimation. The characters and so many aspects of the game are so unbelievably ghey, but I'm sure an 6-10 year old would enjoy it quite a bit.

I did rent Ratchet and Clank. I've only played one level, but it's a pretty fun, engaging game.

You are a pretty cheap bastard. All you ever talk about is how much $$$ things cost and how you don't want to spend it.

Anyways, I would recommend Gamefly to you. It's only 15 bucks a month for the "one out at a time" plan and you have a large library of games to choose from. The great thing is, if you decide you really like the game, you can click "keep it" (not for all titles, like new releases and such) and they will charge you for the game, which is cheaper than buying in stores, and then send you a new case and manual for it.

It's a great way to try a bunch of games without buying them, at a modest cost. As long as you don't keep 1 game for 4 months you are ahead in saving $$$ over buying them.

Yeah, i wouldn't either. I don't mind buying sports games that i like. I have bought almost all of the 2k sports game, but now i have the ability to get most of them free. I am going that route. Only problem is i don't get them on release date, they send them to me about a week or so later.

Damn right I am a cheap ass bastard!!!! Proud of it too.

There are very few games I would drop $60 on. I wait until they are at least under $40 in the used shops or at half.com

You are right though. I preach about cost a little too much on the forums. I need to reel myself in a little.

Probably don't have the strength to succeed at it though.

Seriously though, check out gamefly. If you decide to sign up, let me know so I can get some referral goodies.

Is there a way to get the PS3 to download when the unit is not in use overnight? Like the ehem XBOX does.

turned the unit off overnight while downloading ratchet and clank. Woke up and it didn't download any further than it already was.

You have to leave the unit turned on (power on, little indicator light green/blue NOT red).

You can turn off your monitor, receiver, etc, though.

Agreed. Just giving Tiny some more shit so he can try to kick me in the ear at Nzoners.

I still prefer the xbox controllers over the PS3 though.
