Where is there wheat in Kansas? I was in Kansas a lot last summer and didn't see any. Just sorghum and corn.

Roughly 25-30% of the acres in my area are wheat. The farther east you go the less there is because they can grow corn-bean rotations at a higher profit level than adding wheat in the rotation. But it is still around. If bet there is wheat in every county.

Got a little snow with this cold front, and in terms of moisture available for the wheat, it's probably as much as the snowmaggedon snow. The first stuff that came down stuck and is a slushy mess. The rest got blown off by the 60 MPH wind, but still, there is a slushy mess out there. I'm glad I busted ass yesterday and finished getting the N out on the wheat.

I had a four-day business trip to the East Coast. Due to the snow it ended up being six days, with none of the days being in the place that was planned.

While this was happening, it was beautiful in Denver. That front came to the East Coast right as I left, and I flew back to Denver, where it then got cold and started snowing.
