The thing that's amazing about Perez is how athletic he is defensively for being 270 pounds. That was an incredible tag. And for him to hold on to the baseball with the catcher's glove was amazing. He's amazing.

I'm less concerned about our starting rotation than I am about our gaping holes (offensively) at 3rd base, 2nd base, and DH. Don't suppose there is a 30+ HR guy available out there that can play 2nd or 3rd base?

I don't know if Chen will re-sign if we put him back in the bullpen again. He said in the paper this AM he likes KC and wants to stay, but Scott Boras is his agent. That usually does not bode well for KC...

Doesn't matter, the ball was right there. If Seager is going to act like a bitch and throw a tantrum arguing he beat the tag by a whisper, he's missing the point. And being a pathetic loser.
Just like the moron in the 12th throwing another tantrum when he was called out. Look: the ump was ready to go home. He wasn't gonig to watch guys take endless borderline pitches and check swing-their-way to 1st. He'd had enough. And so had the fans. Swing the bat or GTFO |

The Mariners were being little bitches last night and should be thankful for the 4 or 5 balls called against Holland that were strikes in that inning. If they really want to bitch, they should blame their manager for leaving a lefty in to face Salvy when a RHP was ready to go. |

In the last one you can clearly see the runner's hand knock Perez's glove downward right before he touches home plate. I bet the ump saw the exact same thing, which is why he was so emphatic with the call. |

Curtis Granderson Carlos Beltran Mike Morse (LF-only, really, and is terrible there) Those are really the only 30-HR threats on there, and they're probably 20-HR hitters at the K. Shin Soo Choo Hunter Pence Marlon Byrd Chris Young Also offer some pop, but it's more the 20-HR variety. If the Royals are going to spend on a bat (and not trade for one), I still think the best bet is probably Beltran. Limit his PT (3/4 starts, lot of late-inning defensive replacements as long as the game isn't close). But he's going to be expensive and could be made a qualifying offer by the Cardinals. Granderson is intriguing... his power numbers would go down in the K, no doubt, but Maxwell would be an awfully nice 4th guy to pair with Granderson.

I really like Shin Soo Choo.
There aren't hardly any decent pitching free agents this year unless you like the Cleveland Indian guys.

How about Nelson Cruz? Yeah, he's a bio-guy. But he could be a 30 HR guy, no?
