Question about Tannehill

I really like Ryan Tannehill, but I only watched so much A&M.

Isn't it true he had his worst games against good competition?

If we're thinking of the same game... Stanzi was pretty awful in leading them to a huge early deficit. My memory is foggy, so I may be wrong though. I remember him at least throwing 2 picks, with one being a pick six, and another setting up AZ in Iowa's territory.

BTW 2010 obviously, right?

Tannehill has at least 2 years of work, maybe more, before he could be ready and that's assuming he continues to develop. He might not.
Even from the little I saw in preseason I really doubt, if Stanzi started from day 1 after Cassel got hurt, that we would have ended any worse than 7-9. Its a damn shame we didn't get to atleast see what he had.

He played Arizona in both his Junior and Senior seasons.

His Senior season (2010), he threw a couple of nice TDs late in the 3rd and the Hawkeye defense scored a TD to tie it up in the 4th. Then the defense collapsed, gave up an 80-yard sustained drive and Arizona sacked Stanzi like 2 or 3 times when they were in Hail Mary mode.

The 2009 game was the one where he threw the early pick 6 and dug the hole. They actually came back and won that game,

Tannehill had 3 games with 3 picks. That's not good.

Can't remember exactly. I do believe special teams allowed a early TD or fumbled a kickoff or something. I think special teams gave up 2 plays in that game. Now you've got me wondering.

Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill's foot injury suffered in pre-draft preparation is reportedly a fracture.
No recovery timetable was given, but this is surely an injury that will sideline Tannehill for the Senior Bowl and February's Combine. It'd probably be a stretch to expect him to run or jump for NFL scouts before the draft at all. Tannehill was expected to be a pre-draft riser because he's a tall, mobile, and strong-armed quarterback with a high upside. At least from a workout perspective, he's not going to have that opportunity now.

Starting to like Foles in 2nd. Is that a stretch just because I want a QB?

I meant no Luck or RGB IMO. Maybe I just want a sign the ops have eyes.

Still on the Lindley Bandwagon.

2nd-3rd round prospect. Even more so with Tannehill's injury.

Really? The guy who's best year in college came with 57% completions and was consistently around 55% and had his worst year this year? Lindley has the size and arm and thats about it.

Lindley has 17, out of 50, games in his entire 4 year college career where he completed at least 60% of his passes.

Lindley = horribly inaccurate. No way is he a 2nd/3rd.
