Rotten Tomatoes panned the shit out of Netflix's Marco Polo. I quite enjoyed it. I don't completely dismiss critics, but a lot of them are pretentious douchebags.

I found that early March releases tend to be the case of studios not knowing what to do with a movie. Like 300 or Watchmen.



From what I have found, it sounds like everyone wanted this to be a live version of the Iron Giant, but it is anything but.

Saw it over the weekend... Thought it was pretty good. Character I liked least of all was surprisingly Hugh Jackman. Overplayed his part a bit in my opinion. Had no idea that the blonde and her thug boyfriend in the movie were "musicians". They turned in some decent performances for not being actors. You have to overlook some very shotty security practices from the futuristic police department for the story to be at all believable (as much as this sort of sci-fi show can be believable) but if you can't do that, you probably weren't going to like it anyway.

I do indeed. What is funny, is the movie rolls credit to a song that I just thought was awful. As I was walking out with my wife, I sarcastically said I was going to rush home and download the song. Now I think that it was probably a song from "Mama" and "Ninja" from the movie.
