Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Curtis Martin, Emmitt Smith, and LaDainian Tomlinson are the other RBs to have ran for 1,000 yards for 8 consecutive seasons.
Jackson also joined that group this season. All of those RBs are HoFers(LT will be in). So I guess SJ isn't special then? |

Charles has been on shit teams, too. Jackson has been on shit teams pretty much his entire ****ing career. To say he'd be in "Tru Fan Hall of Bruisers" is asinine. If he was on a team that made the playoffs multiple times in his career-WITH A ****ING DECENT O-LINE-you'd have more people talking about him. Charles is a great RB, Jackson has just done it longer on a more shittier team. |

He's had one insane year (2006) and a pretty good 2009, but that's about it. I don't count rushing for 1k as a great year. Charles has 2 1,400 yard seasons under his belt and he only started a full year in one of them.

Sanders, Thomas, Smith, and Tomlinson were. I applaud RB's who are durable. That in and of itself doesn't make them great. He's had a great career, but he was never a spectacular RB. JMO. I'd rather have a spectacular flash in the pan for 4-5 years than a guy who was consistent but not spectacular for 10 years even if he is less likely to make the HOF. |
