Is Hunt Telling The Truth?

Don't want to start a panic, but I know we are all thinking the same thing even if we want to ignore it. Clark SAYS he is gonna hire a vet coach that's experienced in what we need and that Pioli won't play a part in the search, but then we keep hearing about guys Pioli has connections with getting interviews and how Clark hasn't even contacted Andy Reid.

I may be jumping the gun here, but this is starting to remind me of last years "we are gonna bring in qb competition" talks that we all know how that ended.

Is this a "fool me once..." type scenario or are all the tree coaches interviewing just bs leaked by Pioli to create the impression he still has his nuts?

Should we be pissed?

"Must have chemistry" strongly suggests that the HC will have strong say. Impossible to imagine otherwise.

HC will be the personnel guy. GM will handle cap and other shit.

"chemistry" as in, share a common vision of what they want their team to be? As in, not Pioli.

The game absolutely IS pass, pass, pass. And on the flip side, it's sack, sack, sack.

You need a QB and pass rushers. Hit on both at the same time and you're a Super Bowl champion.
Yes, yes, when SB victory is the sole metric, feel free to stress these over NYG and Pitt, and what NE looked like back when they actually won the damn thing.

Rodgers is a singular talent, unmatched in his passing skills. NO had their one feelgood SB run, but have been less than stellar down the stretch otherwise, and are out of the playoffs this year. NE's evolution to pass orientation has hampered them from what should have been a killer dynasty, I have them returning to the SB this year, but even showing up there is predicated on them shutting down some potent offenses along the way. The passing game alone, or even predominant, isn't going to get them there.

SOC?!?!

****ing please ...
I've got to remember to choose my words carefully here -- almost everybody in the NFL would be under the scrutiny of Chiefs fans -- including but not limited to SOC.

The Owners don't fear fans, neither does Goodell because the networks are their god. That leaves just about every other NFL FO guy, coach & player -- of which there are thousands.

KC has had a difficult time signing players during this 7 year shitfest -- see Manning, for one & Jared for two, Tony for three. The list continues.

It has effected coaching decisions as well -- the pool of potential staff is reduced greatly when you are so void of talent, have an idiot puppetmaster in the GM spot who is actually enjoyed by the trust fund baby that owns this perpetual train wreck and then are faced with rabid drunken fans yelling obscenities at you and your family.

Or, you can keep believing that stench wafting out of arrowhead decade after decade is pleasantly musk and that someday the world will agree.

The issue was never about the NFL. It was about getting the fan base pissed off enough to get Clark's attention. Maybe we were the reason, part of the reason, or not the reason at all that Clark woke the hell up. I don't really give a **** which one it is as long as the steps are taken.

Could have just been attendance or SOC could have had an impact. I think they did, it certainly isn't crazy to think it was part of it.

Lot's of pages I didn't read. My first thought is Clark had intended to keep Pioli but the apparent talk with Manning changed his mind. He already had certain people set up to meet with that would have meshed with Pioli so he's meeting with them and then expanding the search.

Yeah, Clarks words were all nice and cuddly yesterday or whenever. You can certainly put the tinfoil hat on and se that it's possible that nothing has changed and it was all words.

I think he was sincere, but until he proves it, i'm not jumping ship either way.

Shut down some potent offenses? Or sacked their QB enough and created enough turnovers to beat them?

How much do you watch the NY Giants?

As I have so in-eloquently previously stated and wrote down, my take is that, not only was the message sincere, it was almost edgy.

I think our owner is truly embarrassed by that lame monkey dance Pioli and Crennel trotted out on the field this year. To me, one of the most telling comments came in the interview with Petro.

Soren asked him about his reputation as a tightwad and Clark (while defending his spending commitments) mentioned that we had the 3rd highest cash payroll in the league last year. He went on to say that fact wasn't something he was very pleased about or proud of either.

It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to surmise that he's disgusted at Pioli for spending so much money for so little result which, in turn, clearly means Pioli's current status is only temporary as Dr. Evil's termination options are discussed and other, more pressing matters are addressed.

I find it somewhat amazing that two guys who have never once worked with Scott Pioli are being painted as having "Pioli connections" because they happen to work for a guy who has long been cited here as the Anti-Pioli.

And in Dirk Koetter's case, he's only worked in Atlanta for this one season.
