As we've seen, GM Trent Baalke is dangerous with extra picks in his hands. If Colin Kaepernick is very good, the Niners should be annual contenders for years with the picks laid out that way.

If the chiefs could have given just a 5th rounder I am sure they would have. You can't say we gave too much when he has not even thrown a pass yet. Maybe he will make everyone happy on here and get hurt so they can drag up their post and say-"see I told you he was going to suck."

So if we go from a 2 win season to 10-6 and the playoffs that would not make you happy? That would be a Huge turn around.

I would not give up high picks for anybody who is mediocre at their position. All of the analysts were surprised at the compensation paid for Alex. I'm well aware that starting caliber QBs are few & far between and you have to pay to play.

We heard all this with Montana- he was washed up ect ect. But he made us instant contenders- if he didnt get knocked out of the Bills game we would have went to the SB. And who were the picks we gave up again???
