Food and Drink A question for deer hunters

Yesterday I look out my window down on a parking lot of the building next to mine and see a pickup with 2 decent size deer in the bed. This was at about 4:00 PM yesterday. This morning I look down again to check out the morning dumpster divers and I see the same pickup still in the same spot with the deer.

Is it common to leave the deer laying out like that? It is 50 degrees outside. Would the meat still be useable? I can see the gang of wild cats and their 3 legged dog from the gutter lurking around the truck.

It'd certainly make more sense if they had quarters placed over their eyes like they may have won too much at the casino, but I got my binocs out and they just look regular dead.

Are they field dressed and skinned? Laying overnight at those temps aren't bad if they've been handled properly but if they still have hide and entrails I wouldn't want them. From your minimal description given it sounds like somebody will try venison and hate it and not know why.

They are overlapping on another so its hard to tell, but they got fur and tails, one looks like it may have been gutted.

Usually if there's a "deer guy" around, they'll still take it. My brother hit one a few years back and the deputy that handled the accident report called one of his buddies to come pick it up for him.
