Bud,
I have a problem with that. It's become apparent that all Lamar cares about is filling the seats. I've been a fan for going on 20 years, and I'm unhappy with the direction of this team. It's obvious that losing doesn't bother him, so it's time to hit him where it hurts -- the pocketbook. I want to support the Chiefs for years to come, not just this year, and for that to happen, Gunther and staff have to go... ------------------ Parker [b]ChiefsPlanet Administrator |

I disagree.
I've been going to games since 1981 (family has had ticks since 1963). I miss the days of having half a parking lot to myself, able to b-b-q and throw the ball around. I miss not having to stand in line for 10 minutes to take a leak. I miss not having to stand in line anywhere in the stadium, for that matter. All of you fair-weather fans just boycot and stay the hell away. The rest of us will be freezing out butts off, yelling in vain for our team to win. MM --Dripping with sarcasm. |

On one hand, Chief fans call themselves "the NFL's greatest fans"
On the other, they talk about boycotting games.
|

Pack--
My wife is from Fon du Lac, roots for the Pakcers, and would be embarrased to associate with you. You see, a few fans say they won't go to the games. What you fail to realize is that many more will take their place. Unlike Wisconsin, there is more to do here in winter than watch football, so some choose to do other things when they get frustrated. It happens. Let them leave. Others will come. And Lambeau hasn't ALWAYS been sold out. There were many lean years in the 80's, so don't come in here spewing your worthless smack. You cheese-eating, cow-milking, Milwaukee's Best drinking Green Bay fans aren't all that. Get over yourself. I've been patient with you so far. That has now ended. One thing I hate are holy roller fans who sit there and tell other fans that they are not "really" fans when they don't show up for games. I admire your sticktoitiveness but you must realize that the coaches must go and possibly Carl. I have been a Chiefs fan since I can remember. I was one of the few kids in my grade school (in Leavenworth, KS mind you) who started rooting for the Chiefs in the early 80's. So I don't need anyone to tell me I am bandwagon. I know I am not.
I have been wanting the Chiefs to lose the rest of their games since we lost to San Diego because winning any more games does nothing but make our potential draft position worse. So in a way to root for a Chiefs loss now is good for the Chiefs future. It can lead to better draft position and shorten Gunther (and possibly Carl's) future with us. But the question remains: If possible, will you go to any more games this year? MM --Expecting a "Yes." |

Mark,
Do your homework, you idiot. The Packers have had their stadium sold out since 1960. Quit talking out of your cakehole. I will be looking for you on here when there are 10-20 thousand no shows on Sunday. BTW, I live in KC and the only thing to do here that you cant do in Wisconsin is go to the rodeo. Sounds like a lot of fun, doesnt it. |

Well, If I had the means I would, only because I haven't been to a game since the '96 preseason. I live in Pennsylvania so going to a game is a once in a 5 year thing so I'd take any opportunity. However, if I were a season ticket holder or bought tickets to most of the games I definitely would not attend.

Pack--
Gee, that's funny. If it's been sold out that long, how in the hell did I get a ticket in 1989 with absolutely no problems whatsoever? And how come there was hardly any one else there? I've been there, have family there. If you're argument is that every seat is sold, then you're right. Doesn't mean that people will show. The same goes at Arrowhead—the seats are sold but people may not show. You're rip on Chiefs fans applies everywhere, even in your precious little town. So fuck you, moron. I did my homework. And the rodeo is quite fun. Compared to say, digging my house out from under 10 feet of snow, watching the cows graze, smelling the stench of manure, making gouda, watching ice form, being the butt of almost every joke told north of St. Joseph. Oh yeah, and spending my days on other team's message boards spewing useless smack, even though my team sucks as well. Listen, fu*kstick, if the Pack were 10-3, I'd cut you a break. But you ripping on another team, its fans or its city when your team, fans and city are in the same boat shows just how dumb, ignorant or lonely you really are. And I won't be on here Sunday...I'll be at the game. MM --Pities poor Packfan. [This message has been edited by Mark M (edited 12-05-2000).] |

On one hand Packfan bashes Chiefs fans for 'accepting mediocrity' for going to the games.
And on the other hand he insults Chiefs 'fans' when they talk about not going to the games. What was that about talking out of one's cakehole? |
