Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

I like you. I promise not to call you any names if you can justify trading a high, high second round pick for Alex ****ing Smith. I just don't think you can do it.

The only sense I can make out of this stupidity, is that Andy Reid was so certain that the level of QB play available outside of this draft was so dismal, that he needed to overspend on a veteran stopgap just to cover asses if Geno isn't ready, or until Geno is ready. That's all I've got.

You don't give up a second and a mid-round draft pick for Alex Smith, you just don't.

Its all that cockclown Athan! He on his shitty little podcast says theyre shopping Hali and Charles.

Ya trade a QBs best friend, a dynamic ****ing home run hitting RB, for picks. Trading Hali and Charles does nothing but create 2 more holes this team cant afford to open up

It's no secret Alex was horrible his first season. His second season wasn't to bad. He really never looked like himself until the 49ers FINALLY hired the right coach. Same for KC. They FINALLY got the right guy up top. To think Romeo Cornell was going to be a savior is somewhat ridiculous.

I think you guys underestimate your new HC more than underestimating Alex. Guys like Vick, Foles, Kolb all played very well under Reid and Alex is better than any of those guys. Well I'd put him in Vicks category, but better at certain things and worse at certain thing.

Alex can play well when he plays within a system. He is a system QB. Ask Urban Meyer, ask Harbaugh. He won't be out there gunslinging but he will run Andy Reids offense efficiently.

They are spending a good amount to get Alex here. New regime to me it seems. I would trust a guy like Andy Reid. He's got a pretty good idea of what he want's.

To all the people saying "it's ok, Alex is a good game manager with a solid run game", have you watched an Andy Reid offense?

no one gives a **** about Alex Smith "running an offense efficiently."

190 YPG QBs get you beat 99 percent of the time in the playoffs in this era.

Chances are Alex Smith already had his 1 percent playoff game, too.

I'm 55 years old now.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe was very happy to hear of the Alex Smith trade and is warming up to his latest contract offer.

Bowe is dumb. Hopefully his agent tells him to walk.
