I just go to sleep too. The only side effect I've ever had is when I get up the next morning I forget the last 15 or 20 minutes before I went to sleep. For example, if I am in the middle of a TV show and take it then watch the rest of the show I won't remember what happened in the show.

I once was looking online at amplifiers trying to decide which of three models I wanted to buy, and I woke up the next morning to see an email from the retailer for the one I bought. Apparently I decided and bought it, but had no memory of buying it. Luckily I made the right choice, so it doesn't seem to effect my judgement, just my memory.

In a moment I am not proud of I crushed up 2 ambien (5mg/ea) and snorted them. I was definitely drunk. I absolutely do not remember anything after that, and for the next 12-14 hours.

edit: I do remember it burned and the drip was god awful.

I took it for years. It would cause some sleep-walking issues on a rare occasion but I never had any real problems.

Yeah. I've heard it puts you on autopilot. I almost always take it right before I lay down if I am going to, as I am on my way to bed. I did just take one when I posted that (at 11:09 PM my time) and it has been 30 minutes or so. I was going to go to bed but my son came home from work unexpectedly so we were bullshitting about guns for a bit. I don't feel any of the effects that I've heard about. Just very relaxed and getting dozy.
