Who Let This Guy Talk?

This morning on Sirius NFL radio- I had the unmitigated displeasure of listening to Shannon Sharpe babble on and on about his knowledge of football.

Is it just me, or do you find yourself wanting to strangle young

and pin their tails to a moving truck every time you hear this guy talk?

He sounds like he's currently eating a mouthful of watermelon while he's giving his side on the cornerback situation in Green Bay. He sounds like he's swallowing a jug of marbles while dancing on the grave of the Lions defense.

I'll admit, sadly enough, he's a little entertaining. But, I find him more irritating than entertaining. He sure the hell abuses the word, "ain't" a lot. How did this guy ever get a job on the radio is beyond me. Aren't there like half a million kids in colleges all over the country anxiously awaiting their time at the radio and TV who at least have a command of the English language without sounding like a chinese delivery guy who burned his hand with an iron?

Shannon- please, puhhhhhhhhhhhhlllllleeeeeeez- SHUT UP!

It's like he's got a mouthful of marbles. If you can't speak clearly, you have no business working in a field that is based on speech.

And that's completely ignoring what he actually says, which almost as painful as the manner in which he says it.

I am biased, everytime I think of him, the Monday Night game comes back like a bad dream.
He also looks like a horse, he should just whinny instead of trying to speak a language that he has no command of.

Although I respect Shannon's forthrightness and knowledge of the game he is not 1/10th the announcer his brother is/was?

The funny thing about that sentence was that I changed it so many times I am suprised it made any sense at all.

I really do like his brother Sterling, a class act IMO.
