I don't know why so many people are freaking out about that, I don't remember ever losing power from a winter storm. I know a lot got knocked out in that Oct 97 storm but that was a freak event that may never happen again.

I think there was a storm about 5 years ago that knocked it out for a half day or so. The neighbor said L & P told him it could be days so we packed up to stay with friends in Liberty. I think they restored power about 30 minutes after we left home.

We lost power last year. I'm not the least bit freaked out if it happens again though. We have plenty of candles and supplies from the zombie apocalypse that never happened.
