So basically she thought the opposite of what people normally think?
Normally, you'd say you live in Missouri and root for KC and they'd be like 'oh why you root for a Kansas team when you live in Missouri' She's doing some next level trolling right there. |

Well, that Dick Van Dyke correction cleared it all up. Suddenly everything is snapping in place for me about Connecticut.
I always found the I Love Lucy shows in Connecticut both weird and fascinating. I can't really find a good reason for why they changed the setting and had them move, though this site has a statement about it. http://ultimateilovelucy.wikia.com/w...to_the_Country It implies that they did it to reflect national suburbanization in America during that time period. I'd be surprised if it was a move made for marketing instead of some other reason, though. I wouldn't think that marketing would have been that sophisticated (or that necessary) at that point in television history.

I70 is the most boring road to Denver but going to Kansas City actually has more scenery. I live in the most central part of Kansas. I'd say equal number of Chiefs fans as their are Bronco fans and then Raider fans are a third most followed by bandwagon Cowboy fans but they disappear after a loss. After a team wins a Super Bowl then you see that teams jersey for a minute. I've met one Browns fan and one Lions fan in my life. |

Quite frankly the Chiefs and Royals are more Kansas than Missouri. Hear me out, its not absurd. Missouri had/has other pro teams in STL and the is also alot of Braves fans in Southern Missouri. In Kansas, about 90% of everyone in the state is a Royals or Chiefs fan. In Missouri its probably about 35%. Yeah - Western Kansas may start to lean some Denver but nobody lives over the anyway
