I only laugh because of all the crap M$ took over their updates. My first update on PS3 and this happens. Good thing I chose to wait and not jump all over it like tons of others did.

No, sony really ****ed up. They are going to have to replace A Billion Dollars worth of Hardware.
On top of the money lost on the PS3 So Far. They will be the laughing stock of E3. EDIT: Well I guess not that many people had a chance to DL so it wont be a billion, maybe $100K |

There is a workaround if you want to take out your HDD and format it on your computer. That shouldn't be necessary either though. I miss the old days when firmware was not even needed.

Still working fine for me.
I wonder how many of the people complaining on the PS3 forum were just trolls. This is the kinda thing that would make a pretty good gag. |

I doubt that is the case. No reason for Sony to pull the update if that were the case.
Better safe than sorry though. Quite a few were posting youtube videos showing what the update did.

You'll be alright. I'm giving you a prescription to take 2 Phukitol and that should get you through alright.

Games were a crapload more expensive back then, too, now that you think about it. I remember SNES games were around 40-60 bucks, sometimes 70. That was back in early to mid 90's.
