Willie Roaf in car wreck

Someone told me that KC radio just reported Roaf was in a minor car wreck.

Anyone hear anything about it?

No, but I think I'd probably have a sprained neck or something.

Otherwise, probably not. I would ask him what hes doing in Utah though.
I'll bet it's John Tait (and he's just wearing his old jersey).

A coworker confirmed that he heard about it on the radio also. Apparently Roaf wasn't hurt, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

From KFFL:

Chiefs | W. Roaf involved in minor vehicle accident
Fri, 4 Nov 2005 12:37:12 -0600

Kansas City Chiefs LT Willie Roaf (fingernail) may be listed as questionable for the week 9 "Big Man Dance Challenge." Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Roaf was dancing(Electric Slide) in the intersection at 39th & Broadway when a motorist on a Pocketbike lost control and struck Roaf's hand with his helmet. When police and emergency crews arrived, roaf complained about a hangnail and was rushed to St. Lukes Hospital for treatment and observation.

I don't know anything about a car wreck but I do know that if the Chiefs lose to the Raiders on Sunday Willie will have been involved in a train wreck known as the Chiefs 2005 football season.

I would think it would be hard to get those two confused no matter what uniform they are wearing.

Q&A WITH COACH VERMEIL

Nov 04, 2005, 2:27:32 PM

Afternoon

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about Willie Roaf?
D. VERMEIL: “Willie Roaf was in an auto accident this morning. Not injured. The car was injured and has been put on IR for the year – the car that is. He’s home. He’s fine. He’s been checked out by the doctor. It shook him up.”

Q: Will he be able to play on Sunday?
VERMEIL: “I don’t know yet. It has nothing to do with auto accident. It has everything to do with the hamstring.”

I was pulling off of Roe onto 435 around 7:50 this morning, I get halfway down the onramp and this white truck is merging, this blue car doesnt let the truck merge...

the truck is hit in its hind quarter by the blue car, which made it spin out of control across three lanes into the fast lane... and the Black Humvee, which Im assuming is Roafs nails the right side of the truck that had done a 180... the truck then goes back 180 the other direction and a car hits it head on... then another car rearended the Humvee...

Debris is everywhere and my shit gets hit with a bit of debris as I cruise around unscathed... then call 911 on my cell.

Man, what a wild thing... I had no idea that Willie Roaf was in teh car until listening to 610 at lunch.

It completely shut down the highway, and there was absolutely no one behind me as I drove unscathed to work, in which i still arrived 2 minutes late, as always.

Unreal...
