So now we have no one at RT, and someone at LT who is almost 30 and may or may not have back problems, and will cost the average of the top 5 salaries in the league at his position.

I'm still in favor of trading back, but all signs point to Joeckel at 1.

Maybe its just me...but i dont think this has any effect on the #1 overall pick. Hopefully they did save more than 700K with this move to allow us to spend in FA.

I certainly won't miss the penalties. Seems like all I remember, significantly, are nice runs to the right, no protection, and penalties! Winston and Asamoah, illegal procedure, 4-5 times a game.

ok, the more I think about this the more I'm convinced that either A) we have some hidden superstar RT on our roster already (unlikely) or B) Reid is going after one of the absolute TOP RTs available just like he did when he signed Runyan.

I could see this too. They could have looked at the game film, and thought, they've got this 2nd round pick playing out of position.
