I lived in Philly for 2 years and live about an hour from the stadium. I know all about the Eagles and their rowdy fans.

There are assholes everywhere. Nobody ever died at a Philly game. Maybe because the city was proactive and put a cell in the joint for the asshole drunks

My understanding is that the cheering fans were happy about the long overdue completion, and a first down. Cassel being hurt was not the subject of the cheering, but it made better press.
