Chiefs If Mahomes were on the Jax Jags....

Put Mahomes in place of Bortels. Everything else being the same, just replace Bortels with Mahomes. Where are the Jags this season?

He's probably not nearly as ready b/c he's been coached by Doug Marrone, and his weapons are a pittance compared to the riches he has here. The confidence interval would be pretty wide, IMO. I'd say 7-6, but it could range from 4-10 wins.

I do. The point being do you need to build an offense at the expense of a shit defense or does a QB like Mahomes afford you the luxury for scoring on offense with JAG's and an above average defense?

Because of coaching, they go 8-8. That is an underestimated aspect of his progression, the constant input and after play input from Reid is invaluable. For whatever downfalls he may have, he knows how to coach QBs.

I think as time goes on Veach needs to look at building a strong defense. We keep Hill and Kelce as long as they are viable but the DRob level WR's might be good enough for a QB like Mahomes.

I don’t know what the “confidence interval” is. Mahomes brings confidence, he doesn’t get it from Reid or any of his coaches

The Jags aren’t that bad

If they had a QB they could believe in instead of an interception machine, the whole team (a mentally weak front running group) would be better for it

Bortles 5 turnover implosion in Kansas City directly led to the 40-7 meltdown loss in Dallas. Chief fans may not believe it (because Reid is a better coach with a mentally tougher team) but some teams are like that
