Aion- Free To Play Now
Anyone play this? It's free to play now, so i downloaded and started a character.

My buddies play it and 1 of them is one of the better players on the server.


I started a warrior, FistyMcTatt and I'll be stomping through some bitches in the next few weeks until Diablo 3 comes out.

I'll also be playing another buddies old chanter from time to time I'm sure.

Oh, I played Rift for a few days, too.
As far as I know, all Asian MMOs are not-so-fun grindfests with weird stuff mixed in. It doesn't sound like my cup of tea, so I tend to stay away from them. Playing SWTOR right now and that shit is the bomb, mang. It didn't draw me in like vanilla WoW did when I first started, but I think it has more to do with my more mature mindset than the game itself.

the game is not worth playing even free.

wow was a great game. i don't agree with the pay to play crap but wow really was a great game but they just killed it with the easy mode crap.

It's by FAR the biggest letdown I've ever had in gaming. There was other games I was pumped up for that sucked, but Diablo 3 made me feel good about dropping 2 grand on a comp... then it shit in my face...

You can still do challenging content, they have been better at patching in harder runs lately. They are also making it easier for noobs and casuals. You can really go either way. You don't have to do the easy stuff.

With WoW, the way to go is to make one of each class. And then dual spec into the more challenging roles of each whenever possible. Like go tank and healz on any toon that has that ability. They recently changed up some spells/buffs that make it possible to level as a healer. Then go with the two more complicated specs of the pure dps classes. There will be a total of eleven classes next Tuesday.
