If they had gotten an idea of the lengths I have gone to find rare recordings and bootlegs from some of my favorites, I would be in trouble.

I was ashamed that I didn't know them all.

You checked off 23 out of 100 on this list!
There is no doubt that you’re waaaay into music, but you’re not TOTALLY intense about it. Like, you probably have other interests and a well-rounded life. There’s no shame in that! Definitely not hardcore. I just like what I like. |

The "buy shit you already know isn't going to be good" question is a laugher. I just bought this god awful grindcore album just because it was on "cop splatter" vinyl and was limited to 50.

I just bought the new Rectal Hygienics, which is actually pretty good, but mostly because the vinyl was limited to 150 on "cum white".

But, Tube Amp Speakers? I'm definitely more of a HiFi snob than the author.

And my music snobbery was sharply lowered by all the concert questions. I'm much more of a snob in terms of high quality recordings, good mastering, and a quality, dialed-in rig. Still buy SACDs, still will buy anything off the Dorian label I can find. Absolutely!!! hate the loudness wars.

I've had Sony ES solid state forever, but I had a roommate with a tube amp and magneplanar speakers in college.

You’re a major music nerd, and most people in your life consider you to be an expert. You’re very committed, but there’s some lines you don’t cross. |
