Mauk is approaching record levels of futility. Four straight games under 50% completion and 150 yards. He's worse than Kirk Farmer. At least they're bowl eligible. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost out.

Homecoming fun.
Moniteau County prosecutor arrested in crash at Addison's that injured four http://www.columbiatribune.com/news/...4352973d7.html By the Tribune's staff Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 10:40 am Updated: 12:48 pm, Sun Oct 26, 2014. The Moniteau County prosecuting attorney faces multiple felony charges in connection to a crash at Addison's restaurant in downtown Columbia that injured four people on Saturday night. Shayne Healea, 36, of 1013 Dave Drive in California, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and four counts of second-degree assault. He was released from the Boone County Jail after posting bond totaling $22,500. Leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident is a class D felony if the accident results in physical injury to another party, according to Missouri statutes. Second-degree assault is a Class C felony. The crash happened in the rear parking lot of Addison’s, 709 Cherry St., around 7:36 p.m. Saturday night. Healea backed a 2013 Ford F-150, which had the tailgate down, into a portion of the Addison’s building that was constructed of glass blocks, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department. After striking the building, Healea left the scene and parked the truck in front of the Tiger Hotel, the release said. Officers found Healea in the alley near the crash, the release said. Columbia police Officer Scott Wilson investigated the crash. Columbia firefighters were dispatched to Addison’s at 7:38 p.m., and arrived four minutes later to find that two men and two women had been injured by debris that shot 20 feet into the restaurant after the truck hit the building at the 9-foot-by-4-foot glass-block window. Derek Heckemeyer, 43, and Marie Heckemeyer, 39, of Wildwood and Aaron Grandestaff, 31, and Stephanie Grandestaff, 29, of Ozark, suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the police department news release. Healea received his license to practice law in September 2010 after successfully passing the July 2010 bar exam, according to a story in the California Democrat newspaper. He was elected Moniteau County prosecuting attorney in November 2010. Healea, a Republican, earned 63 percent of votes to defeat incumbent Democrat John T. Kay, who had served as prosecutor since 1981. Healea is running for another term this year, and is unopposed in the Nov. 4 general election. Healea, a California High School graduate Class of '97, graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in May 2010, receiving his Juris Doctorate Law Degree, according to the Democrat story. Before attending law school, Healea earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, and he worked as a police officer for several years before deciding to return to school to pursue a law degree, the Democrat story said. Healea is vice chairman of the Prosecutors Coordinators Training Council, according to the website of the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services. University of Missouri student Jordan Wood was eating dinner with his family at Addison’s on Saturday night when he saw the red pickup back into the window then pull away quickly. He said he and another diner ran to confront the driver. “I saw a truck back into a window and glass shatter, and me and another man ran over to stop the driver,” Wood said. “I stood in front of the car, and the other guy took a picture of the license plate. Then I stepped out of the way, and he drove off. “My initial thought was, ‘This guy is trying to get away.’ ” Addison’s closed shortly after firefighters and police arrived. Firefighters built temporary supports for the damaged area of the building, and it was deemed safe to reoccupy. Wood said the restaurant paid for his family’s meal. “This was insane,” he said. “I was just trying to eat dinner on Homecoming with my family. Then this happened.”

Another excellent performance by the D and a disconcerting effort by the O.
The offense has reached the point where it is unfixable. Henson came out with a solid gameplan, but Kentucky adjusted in the second half and completely shut them down. We can't run the ball, we don't pass protect very well, the WRs outside of Sasser can't win their one-on-ones, and Mauk is still extremely inaccurate. He threw a beautiful pass to Sasser for the second TD that makes you see he has the ability to execute good throws, and then he'll miss a bubble screen by five yards or sail one two feet over a wide open Macaulay's head in the end zone. I've never seen anything like it. Of course, it could have even been worse than that, since Mauk threw what should have been a pick-six in a G2G situation. We're lucky that Stoops butchered the end-of-game decisions, otherwise Kentucky is driving with a chance to tie at the end, thanks in no small part to Jason Reese, who stone-handed his first career target and bumble-****ed an onside kick that went right to him. Still, Shane Ray has become absolutely dominant. I wonder if Golden is still hobbled by his injury, because he doesn't have the closing speed he showed earlier in the year. Brantley fires off the ball like a speed end, too. Only Augusta seemed invisible yesterday. In a huge turnaround from 2013, the back seven is playing extremely well. Dennis replacing Gibson at corner has significantly improved the secondary, and this is probably the best LB corps Pinkel has had. Scherer is so much more athletic than Wilson, and Webb is playing like an all-conference safety, which brings me to my next point: Targeting has to go. Those plays happen too fast to make a judgement that can eject someone from large chunks of such a critical football game. I understand the need for player safety, but that penalty is a completely incompetent administration of it. Overall, it's a frustrating team to watch. I feel like they could win all of their remaining games, but they could also go 0-3. Arkansas might be the #2 team in the East at worst, aTm is never an easy place to play, and Tennessee going to Dobbs seems to have sparked their offense. The defense can play with anybody and anyone can shut down the offense. Bizarre year. |

I went yesterday and completely agree. The defense is what is holding this season together, and that G2G just perfectly sums up the offense. Almost a pick 6 on 1st down and just a complete abortion of a throw on 3rd down, for absolutely no damn reason.
Mauk is dog shit, the only thing I will contest is that our pass pro yesterday wasn't actually horrible. Mauk bailed from clean pockets all damn day, had at least 2 guys on the sidelines that his shit throws ran out of bounds. He's shit, the Mauk era can't end fast enough. D is fun to watch though, our front 7 gets it done, and I'm becoming a Michael Sherer fan moreso every game. He seems to be in the thick of big plays all the time. |

But what was just as puzzling was Hansborough....a couple of times it looked like he started outside to a clean hole only to cut inside like he wanted to run into someone. He just doesn't look like the runner he was earlier in the year. |
