Go on Record: Will Cassel have a good season in 2012?

So...Cassel has looked pretty good in OTA's.....Obviously there are a lot of haters on this board, but how many are just trolling? How many actually believe Cassel will succeed? How many are confident he will fail?

Man up. Put your vote on record....

Of course he will have a good season. It won't be good enough for us, but I'm sure it will be good enough for Pioli.

I would give anything for us to just cut Cassel and start Quinn or Stanzi. If neither of them are the long-term answer, then we will be drafting high enough to pick one of the top QB prospects in 2013.

As long as Charles, Hillis, Bowe, and Moeaki stay healthy, he'll probably have a "good" season if you're going by Matt Cassel standards.

If he has to carry the team on his shoulders, he will fail miserably.

Breathing? Likely.

His stats and overall performance will be mediocre, but we'll win games in spite of him, and dumbshits will demand apology threads.

I suspect he will not just have a "okay" season, I think he will have a damn good season. His td/int numbers will be close to the '10 season. He will have more yards while having less td's(Charles, Hillis and Gray will score alot more), but his int's will be up. I predict that we make it to the second round in the playoffs and lose by 7.

and it is so...........

I think he will be mediocre. If he fails to be mediocre with the supporting cast he will have this year, then he is probably missing his arms, legs, eyeballs, ears, head and penis. Then again, he just may be missing those things.

I think Cassel is every bit as good as Jake Plummer was. If the Chiefs have a good running game Cassel should have a year comparable to his Pro Bowl season.

If everything on paper even comes close to its potential, he's going to have a career year... its all tee'd just for him.

And thats going to be good enough for a possible playoff win, but beyond that, as the defenses get better, i predict fail... good enough to break your heart.

I posted this a lot last off season. The best QB's in the league average right around 14 INT's a season. AVERAGE! I'll be shocked if he duplicates his 2010 "7" Int season, because for one Weis had him throw the ball away as soon as anything went south on any given play. And two, for Cassel to AVERAGE 14 INT's like the big boys do, we are looking a a pretty high total in that column for him sometime soon.

Thing is, the good QB 's are good enough to overcome thier INT's. Cassel? We will see I suppose, but I haqve my doubts. Not from a guy who is 3:16.

Exactly this. And frankly I don't care how well he does this season, I want a 1st round QB next April.

He has ZERO excuses this season to not play at a high level (don't think he will ever be elite)

Upgraded Oline, 3 solid WR's, upgraded TE's with Boss and Moeaki back, deadly running game, solid/potential damn good Defense, 4th place schedule, full OTA's...if he doesn't earn his paycheck this season, he better be gone...
