Golf is a sport (a horribly boring sport, but a sport nonetheless), and golfers are athletes (just lower level athletes).

You're a complete idiot for saying Tiger Woods is more athletic than NFL players, though.

I never said that golf is not a sport or that it doesn't take athletic ability to play it. There are different levels and kinds of athletic ability. Balance and hand eye coordination is different than strenuous muscle usage.
