Should Boe start in place of Parker at Miami?

If those of you can remember, the play prior to Priest's 60 yd TD reception, run after the catch. KC was at their own 40yd, with a 3rd and 11. And the dude that caught a critical 3rd down play was ... yes #85, 15 yds reception.

And that ended up being THE-PLAY in my book that set up the next play (Priest's TD: 28-21) which became the game winning TD, as KC defense stepped it up and shut the Skins out from that point on.

Oh. and not forgetting his towering 2-point conversion catch that got us up 14-7 over the touted rookie Carlos Rogers.

The reason Boe was in that series? Parker got hurt on the previous series, the underthrown ball from Green cost him to reach back, pulled the groin on the fall as he was tackled. What's his status ? Anyone knows?

He likely would have had more catches had they thrown him the ball.

Boe should get more playing time as long as the other teams don't start lining a punter up against him in man coverage.

Ever since this offense was installed in 2001 when DV got here, the only big play player we've had is Priest. And then last year LJ showed glimpses of a big play guy.

Maybe when you see Parker run the deep routes more often, you'll love him as well. He's drawn quite a few pass interference call already this season when he went deep. His speed does garner some DB attention, in case you haven't taken notice. We are not saying to bench Eddie but make him run the short routes that Samie is having to do (which is unfortunate cuz' Samie does have better speed and legs).
Don't try and turn this on Kennison. He's the only receiver that did sh*t the first 4 games of the year, and the only Chief that played with any semblence of heart in that ass-kicking the Broncos handed us.

Parker has caught one deep ball in his NFL career, and he was only open because it was a blown defensive assignment. That fact that he has to use his body to catch instead of his stone hands is going to make it tough to catch anything that doesn't ask for a curl or hitch.

Heh, I like Boerighter but, he didn't impress me that much in preseason. And, obviously, he didn't impress the coaching staff much because he was inactive the first game(s). He did look much better against Washington, no doubt.

But while you're talking about making good catches, don't forget that Parker had a couple nice grab (on 3rd downs?) before he got hurt. I don't think it's time to give up on him just yet. That said, if he's not 100% this week, go with Bo.

Every analyst talks about defense giving the offense "different looks." Defense gives the offense different formations, based on field position, down, YTG, and Off. formation.

Offense gives the defense different looks, and has to. For instance, you can run off-tackle from MANY different formations. Saunders is supposed to do his job, mixing it up based on the talent he's got. Green threw to 6 or 7 different receivers, which is cool with me.

Bo is the ideal motion man, IMHO. He may not have accel, but he can use momentum for strong-side run blocking and shorter patterns. But he can sell the stop-and-go. Of course, you're not going to sell that to the covering DB twice.

Parker has accel and top speed for the long ball. Kennison is good medium and long. All the receivers (including RB's) have different abilities. It's a matter of Saunders using them, and throwing in the sale of an unexpected ability ON OCCASION. I just don't like to see us get cute with play calling. It's a matter of using the talent available and players playing within their capabilities, to execute positive results.

I don't care who gets the ball, so long as it goes in the opponent's end zone on the ground and thru the uprights for a total of more points.

Depends. If Wilma is Category 3 or above at kickoff, I'd start Bo -- he's bigger and could withstand the stronger winds.

If Wilma's Category 2 or below, I think Samie could probably handle it.

Samie Parker is aerodynamically superior. Wind doesn't touch him.

I seem to remember a few weeks ago DV saying that Bo and Horn would take turns being active. Does anyone know if that is still the case?

If so no Bo this weekend.

I DIDN'T GET TO SEE THAT GAME THANKS TO OUR STINKING FOX STATION

Seriously, I think if Fox were to carry the Superbowl and the Chiefs were playing in it, our OK City affiliate would show something else.

I'm not so much big on Kennison as I am about all of the balls Parker drops - even balls stuck between the numbers on his chest. WHEN Parker actually gets to where he can catch, we'll have something. But until then, all he's going to do is turn a 2nd and 10 into a 3rd and 10 or a 3rd and 4 into a punt.

I like Bo's ability. And the fact that he's a big target makes him the better choice. He caught a big 38-yard pass against Philadelphia and caught two balls for 25 yards in addition to drawing a holding penalty for a big third-down conversion in the fourth quarter of the Washington win.

He plays with confidence, and he's a good matchup against a smaller DB. As long as he keeps hauling in what's tossed his way, I say get him more involved.
