Keep f***ing doubting Alex Smith

The title of the thread says it all....

**** you doubters. He plays with heart, and he continues to get the job done. You people who bash Alex, I don't even consider true fans. He plays his heart out every week, and you continue to bash him...

Keep bashing him, I'll keep backing him.

Yeah, it will. I don't think a win in this one's very likely without all three phases having an A+ day. Although I think we'll need a defensive or special teams score in addition to the offense having their best day of the year.

What I expect is a fired up Denver team that comes out firing early. Hate to get cliche, but we have to weather that initial storm and keep the game close enough that we can turn it into our style of game once things calm down. This is not a week that the offense can afford to stumble in the red zone. We need long drives to eat clock, starting from the opening gun, and we need TDs at the end of them. Otherwise we end up the same as the Chargers yesterday.

I think if we're punting a bunch in the first half, we're toast. We don't want a shootout. We can't win that way. That's Denver's game, and we aren't built for that. But we do have to answer scores as much as possible and we do have to shorten the game.

That's what's happened to the Ravens this season.

They signed Flacco to a ridiculous deal and had to part ways with their best receiver.

The result is a 4-5 season and very bad year on Flacco's part.

Why don't you open up the graph you yourself posted and tell me what it says?

And this article is pretty hilarious. It's from the website Profootballfocus where you pulls all the data you misinterpret:

I dunno if Denver's offense is quite the juggernaut it was early in the year though.

I think 24-27 wins Sunday

The ravens were in a shit position.

They had a qb who got extremely hot and a bit lucky and ran through the playoffs playing well, who was due a new deal.

Talk about a right place right time kinda thing.

The question remains whether we can score that much.

Absolutely a question.

I'd think we can, eventually the offense takes off right? We can hope?

If it wasn't already week 11, I would say "yes, hopefully, eventually".

It's getting to that point where we may have to acknowledge that they are what we've seen all year. Hopefully we see something Sunday.

You at as though Matt Ryan has been surrounded by talent since day one... He was a good player before Tony and Julio got there.

Also, what is supposed to sound familiar? Are you insinuating that Alex Smyth plays well when surrounded by talent? Do you have any proof of this?

I think they probably care that they're shelling out $20 million per year for 5 years if they're going to get sub-par play (and that's what they've been getting all year).

They didn't need to give him $20 million per year, just like Atlanta didn't need to shell out $20 million per year for Ryan.

If I have the choice to pay Matt Ryan 20 or to pay Alex Smith 12... I'd gladly write that check for 20.

20 is the current rate for a "good starting quarterback"...the elite guys are getting closer to 25/yr

Who's getting $25 million per? Serious question.

And FWIW, I think Alex Smith is playing to his current contract.
