Hurd can be had, Kansas City could be option
Roy Williams’ place in Dallas is secure after the Cowboys traded up to draft Dez Bryant on Thursday night.
That doesn’t mean there will not be some turnover at the position. Sam Hurd can be had. Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports that the Cowboys put the versatile performer on the market Thursday night and they will entertain offers. He’s a restricted free agent who already signed his tender offer with the club. Hurd has been a standout player on special teams but would like a more prominent role on offense. That is not going to happen now, not with Williams, Bryant, Miles Austin, Patrick Crayton and Kevin Ogletree ahead of him, among others. Maybe the Cowboys can make a minor deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. After all, coach Todd Haley is familiar with Hurd from his time in Dallas. The Chiefs certainly have needs at receiver and every team can use a boost on special teams. Follow me on Twitter: BradBiggs http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/...-receiver.html Nothing earth shattering here, just some rumored player movement. |

If we need a WR (which we do), why don't we just freaking draft one? Tate, Benn, Gilyard...

The Cowboys have Roy Williams, Dez Bryant and Miles Austin... along with Jason Witten... not bad.

Im pretty sure Crayton HATES Todd Haley. He was one of the Wr's that was bitching about him being to hard.

I had thought more of who KC would possibly look to move more than aquire. DJ if they are targeting an ILB. Possibly DJ to the Vikes where Fred Pagac is the LB coach and was here for DJ's rookie year. If they go after Clausen, Croyle could be expendable. Maybe STL and Dick Curl would have an interest, i havn't even looked at the other rams qb's other than bradford. Maybe Jacksonville too with his college coach Shula the qb coach there. Also Page hasn't signed his tender and if he may want a trade with the probable move to SS from FS.
Not appossed to keeping those guys just looking at options of getting more picks with rounds 2-7 coming up.
