Dane brought up an interesting idea earlier.

The Brady's, Bree's, Rodgers, elite absolutely are worth those 20 million dollar deals, they can carry a team.

If you can't have one of them though, is it worth paying a qb that much who can't carry your team, or trying to go the 9er, Seahawks, chief etc route and trying to stack the rest of your team.

Interesting conversation for sure.

There's something wrong with that if the QB is taking up $20 million in cap space.

If Ryan was earning $12-14 million, the Falcons could have brought in more depth, starters, etc.

$20 million on a non-elite player is a waste of cap space.

He's having an "Off-year" because Julio Jones is out for the year, Tony Gonzalez is 37 years old, Roddy White has been injured and they don't have a good running game.

Matt Ryan, despite his fantasy stats, is not "Elite". He's not elevating the play of those around him. They're losing.
