This isn't the only thing that God has directly talked to him about. He also said he was on tour with Ciara and was in the dressing room watching her get ready when God "told" him that he was supposed to "lead her". That is when he said let's do the relationship in the way of God. Abstinence and all that jazz.

Wow. I hadn't picked up on that at first. Yeah, that is pretty crazy.

I'm pretty sure he threw that pick because he had to make a very fast decision in a ridiculously short period of time, and he made the wrong one.

Just an example of why prominent figures should keep religion and politics out of sports. Just too much controversy. Russell Wilson is a "nut" because he isn't having sex until marriage and because he is overly religious (in our eyes). Got it.

but honestly, it's pretty off putting when athletes try and use God as a reason why they succeed or fail. But hey, I'm not a very religious guy so it's also pretty ignorant for me to try and put myself in their shoes.
