The CP QB Trifecta

Jameis:
Quote:
This defense of Winston doesn't come lightly. Early in training camp, quite honestly, Winston looked borderline terrible. His passes lacked zip, accuracy or anything close to the resemblance of a first-overall pick's skill set...So if Saturday's preseason game was the first opportunity to watch Winston (likely true for anyone who hasn’t visited Bucs' training camp), your criticism is sensible -- just like it probably wasn't wrong to raise a private eyebrow about those early practices.
Tim:
Quote:
The Tim Tebow era began in Philadelphia to raucous applause, so much in fact that he had to wave his arms to quiet down the crowd. Welcome to life as the most popular fourth-string quarterback in the country.

On a relatively smooth first drive, which should have resulted in a field goal, the former Heisman Trophy winner went 4-of-5 for 43 yards and a nice run. His new throwing motion has eliminated much of the hitch that plagued him for three NFL seasons
Geno:
Quote:
It seemed like the most devastating reveal from the New York Post's trackdown piece on Geno Smith was that he wears eye black (and not a shirt) to toss the football in his Whippany, New Jersey apartment complex.

Weird, right?

But apparently, the Jets weren't happy about the fact that he was throwing at all.

No. Because those men command the respect of their team and are leaders. Geno Smith is a poor leader. To me, if a guy is a poor leader and he plays QB in the NFL, he's never going to be anything more than "just a guy". The whole thing just tells me he's a moron, and frankly won't amount to shit.

It's bad enough we all got to see his dick on the internet a year ago because he was dumb enough to Skype with some bitch and pull his dick out.
All this.

This place was un****ing bearable with the Geno shit and even Clay said he was 100% wrong after trashing anyone who questioned Geno. And yet Clay still talks shit as if he knows anything abut football.

Geno was the apex of QB wrongness on CP and yet there are still people who havent learned.

He wasnt a realistic option. Geno, Tannehill, and Bridgewater are the more recent ones we had a realistic shot at guys had boners over... .me included.

He's Brett Favre in Atlanta, but thrust into the starter position.

The guy needs guidance and mentoring.

Alex Smith, Reid, Dorsey, Peterson, et al. They would have been a stabilizing force for Geno Smith - something he obviously needs badly. Given a three or four year second string role, given the chance to mature into a professional...eh.

The tools and instincts were there.

It's kinda sad.

Except that every team passed on him and may have done so twice if the Jets didn't. All because of attitude problems. Leadership isn't easily taught.

We should never make an attempt at drafting a high round QB.

Championships are for suckers.

I know, you have to have a high draft pick QB to win, look who has won the last 2 SB's. Oh wait.

Um, the Brady Lottery does not EVEN qualify. You know this.

As to Wilson, he's pretty much an anomaly himself.

7 of the last 10 Superbowl winning QBs were first round picks.

But sure. Lets just go with the outliers to make your point!

Actually, in a roundabout way, Marcellus makes a good point.

As it stands, we have three outliers on the roster. And something tells me that by about week 6, we'll be begging to give one of them a shot at 'Oulier Glory'.

So, roll them tumblin' dice.
