But seriously, Rivers manned up when Eli Manning became a baby Elway. That's worth a lot of points. While he plays for a division rival, and that's despicable, he's just a dorky guy who happens to have a big arm. I kind of appreciate seeing a dorky guy make good in the world.

Rivers is pretty well underrated in the league, and that's coming from a Chiefs fan. I mean, didn't he win a playoff game playing with a torn ACL? Shit, anybody would want toughness like that from their QB.
That said, he worked the Chargers on this deal. |

I don't see how anyone can like a guy who is the biggest crybaby in NFL history during games. Biggest in NFL history.

Because he's a top QB? Like Bowser said, dude played and won a playoff game with a torn ACL. Have to respect that.

I've always thought opposing fans would think of Rivers as a Rowdy Roddy Piper type of villain. He's fun to hate and always entertains. Then again, growing up, there were always the humorless ****s who thought Hulk Hogan was the best and took Piper's antics way too seriously.

Oh, for sure. I love rooting against him, and I love it when the Chargers lose close games (especially to us). But the guy is a straight gamer. He'll probably pass 40,000 career yards this season. He's the ****ing Shannon Sharpe of QB's - the guy you absolutely love to hate, unless he's on your team then he's the best thing ever.

I didn't like him until I saw him interviewed after the Denver game a few years back.
The guy is just excited, and he shows it through his actions. |

Rivers is just a big dumb rich goofy bastard. Hard to hate him really.
It's not like he's a cheap shot bitch like Merriman was. |
