History of nickname

The University borrowed its athletic nickname from the state of Iowa (also known as the Hawkeye State) many years ago. The state of Iowa acquired the nickname, chiefly through the efforts of Judge David Rorer of Burlington and James G. Edwards of Fort Madison.

'Their' is how you spell the possessive as in "Ohio State football players get their new cars from shady boosters."

'There' is a descriptor as in "Look, there goes Maurice Clarett with a bullet proof vest, 6 guns, and a bottle of vodka".

Ohio State looks good this year. Can they really reload 9 defensive starters? Probably.
