Lurie should of just hired a GM and made Chip decide if he wanted to swallow his pride or make his ass quit. Not that hard.

Chip Kelly wanted the team in his own vision, but made too deep of a cut so fast. If he wasn't a total ****ing goon that cut Mathis because he skiped workouts and kept Maclin, they are likely a playoff squad. Murray looks a lot better if the Eagles had better than garbage at Guard and the passing game would of been fine with a WR1.

Trading McCoy was the right move.
Maybe trading McCoy was the right move, on it's own. However, when you combine it with the others, in the same off season, and things don't work out, it's not good.

Yup. If you're going to totally gut your team of all of its playmakers in order to bring in your own guys, you better prove you're not a moron by winning with your new guys.

He didn't. It became obvious to Jeff Lurie that Chip Kelly is an egomaniac and a moron. Kudos to Lurie for manning up and admitting he made a mistake.

No. Because Rooney.

The worst part is the NFCE is horrid. If his team had anything at all, he'd have won the division.

It's not like the people Kelly got rid of have done a lot elsewhere. Foles, McCoy, Jackson have not had productive years, not really their own fault due to injury, but still. They were older players who weren't going to win a super bowl with the eagles.

I don't blame Kelly for cleaning house, but when you combine his guys not working out and nobody wanting to play for him, then you have a bad situation.

He basically did in one year what it took Pioli two or three years to do.

He let Maclin and Jackson go, cut mathis then had a wr core that wasn't great and the ol couldn't protect.

If he keeps those 3, they win the division.

It's a genuinely holy shit move. I can't wait for an EDP video when this is a done deal.

You were correct. The 49ers are most definitely going to be an interesting case study going forward. Bad owner, bad GM, bad coach, bad QB.

The thing to keep in mind is that Philly had ENORMOUS success under Reid. If he had won a Super Bowl (which he didn't, due to BB and Brady, which is still fishy to this day), he'd be a hero.

Pederson is well versed in the WCO and was a decent backu before becoming a coach.

I have no problem with a Coach/GM that takes a calculated risk.

Jackson supposedly had gang ties. Maclin was coming off another ACL.

Shady had a LOT of touches and didn't finish the season in Buffalo.

It's it's *possible* that outside of QB, Philly is set up in the long run.
