Who on our roster is MOST deserving of a pro bowl?

If the Chiefs could only have one pro bowl representative, who should it be?

On its way is a - you guessed it - poll.

LJ's only gonna start 9 games. He was just a backup who played every third series otherwise. Just a reminder here....

With Roaf:

27.1 points/game
411.0 total yards/game
Trent Green - 209-136, 65%, 1933 yds, 7 TD, 3 INT
100.0 QB rating

Without Roaf:

23.3 points/game (18.8 ppg if you take away the Texans blowout)
345.8 total yards/game
Trent- 206-124, 60%, 1354 yds, 7 TD, 6 INT
78.8 QB rating

Yes, that is why Roaf is the MVP.

He hasn't had a Pro Bowl year. Even when LJ wasn't the starter, he was still putting up numbers.

You can't keep LJ out of the Pro Bowl for any reason.

Allen is a distant #2. The problem with Allen is the rest of the defense. The guy creates some big plays that the rest of the team just doesn't capitalize on. Years ago when DT would turn the corner and knock the ball free from a QB you just knew that Saleamua or Phillips or Smith was going to fall on the ball and create a turnover. Or when DT got a big sack, the rest of the D stepped up the rest of the drive (if there was one). Allen strips the ball and nobody is around to grab it. He gets a sack or a good pressure and the Chiefs still let the opposition convert critical third downs.

i wouldn't say that should disqualify him for the pro bowl

Weigman or Dunn... Too of the KEY components to our Offense that are so often overlooked.

LJ deserves it for sure, but I think just once it'd be nice for Dunn and Weigman to get the nod.

Blocking tight ends like Dunn do not go to the Pro Bowl. He has no fancy stats. Weigman suffers in Pro Bowl voting because he is surrounded by so many big name players and people are reluctant to vote in an entire line from one team. As long as he plays next to Roaf, Shields and Waters I am guessing Weigman will not get the votes.

Dunn definitely is one of our more valuable players. His blocking is superb, as we saw on that last play against the Raiders. However, as was also pointed out, he doesn't have a chance in heck to make the pro bowl since he doesn't catch passes. That's too bad.

I gotta go with Roaf. Most would disqualify him due to the games he missed. But those missed games are the very thing that puts him over the edge for me. When Roaf went out we realized just how much we missed him. Roaf is key to our O. According to the game stats shown on tv during the games, most of LJ's yardage is to the left side. Also, when Roaf is in there, Green is comfortable and makes much better passes. When Roaf is out, Green is jumpy and makes bed decisions.

With Roaf: 130 carries, 638 yards, 4.9 yards per carry, 8 touchdowns.

Without Roaf: 117 carries, 613 yards, 5.23 yards per carry, 6 touchdowns.

LARRY JOHNSON DOESN'T NEED WILLIE ROAF!!!!!!!!!

After looking at gochiefs' stats, I think an argument can be made for Jordan Black.

Take away the Texans game, and LJ is still averaging 4.96 yards per carry without Willie Roaf.

Larry Johnson is probably an easy choice.

However, if he wasn't injured, I'd vote for Kendall Gammon. It's quickly become obvious he's the best long snapper in the NFL and most deserving of the special teams Pro-Bowl slot.
