Who's going to Dream Theater (w/Crimson ProjeKct) tomorrow night?
Dream Theater and the Crimson ProjeKct will be performing at the Starlight Theater tomorrow night. This is the first time DT have come to KC in about 4 years. And it's the first time I get to see them with Mike Mangini. The newest album is fantastic. I'll be there. I'm excited to see them in person. Anyone else?

Mangini is an absolute maniac. I'm interested in listening to what Mangini will do with the older material, he's a very fast, concise drummer that just does everything sonically perfect. I haven't listened to the latest DT, I'll have to go get it and plug it in. Where is this venue?

This is my first event at the Starlight Theater. It appears to be by the Swope Park Zoo.

damn that sucks i didn't even know they were coming, i would have wanted to go, big prog fan, never seen them. i couldnt anyway, i have too much money tied up right now.

i'm sure it will kick ass. i wasn't real big on the new album without Portnoy, but it's still better than some they wrote with him, a couple very good songs. they'll do the best stuff off the other albums too no doubt.

i am jealous, but enjoy.

Starlight is a great venue for a concert. I wasn't too sure about it when I first saw my first concert there (Rush) back in 07 or 08, but it sounded great. It's also pretty damn easy to get in and out of, too.

It sounds great. I'm glad there's no rain in the forecast. But it's gonna be hot. And we're riding the bike from Topeka. So that means jeans.
